In play, the child exerts all their energy to become an adult. Play activity constitutes the main reason and underlying experience of all childhood life.
The main objectives of the numerous activities at Emmer School are to create moments and spaces where the child can experiment and develop imagination, with the technical guidance of the adult.
The teacher's focus is on the creative process (not the finished product) and aims to place each child in a position to express themselves freely and develop their artistic sensitivity.
Play can be:
● Free motor play in the psychomotor room
● Construction, puzzles, pegboards and laces, cut-outs, etc.
● "Social play," through which the child acquires significant social value as opposed to their individual and egocentric perspective
● Rhythmic play through nursery rhymes and songs
● Symbolic play, where children animate and give a voice to objects, expressing their inner world
